Just In: President Tinubu Appoints New Board for Securities Commission

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of a new board for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), comprising prominent Nigerian professionals.

The appointments include Mr. Mairiga Aliyu Katuka as Chairman, Mr. Emomotimi Agama as Director-General, Frana Chukwuogor as Executive Commissioner (Legal and Enforcement), Mr. Bola Ajomale as Executive Commissioner (Operations),

Mrs. Samiya Hassan Usman as Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services),Mr. Lekan Belo as Non-Executive Commissioner  and Mr. Kasimu Garba Kurfi as Non-Executive Commissioner

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), in a statement made available to Africa Health Report on Friday, expressed the President’s confidence in the newly appointed board members, stating, “The President anticipates that all members of the Board of this critical commission will bring to bear their wealth of experience and competence in advancing the commission’s core mandate of developing and regulating a capital market that is dynamic, fair, transparent, and efficient, to bolster investor confidence and contribute immeasurably to the nation’s economic development.”.
