ICPC Seeks Collaboration with Para Military Agencies to Stem Corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has called for Collaboration with armed forces and para-military agencies to fight corruption.

This was confirmed in a statement by Mr. Demola Bakare, the ICPC spokesperson on Wednesday.

The call was made by the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Aliyu at the opening of a 3 days workshop titled; 21st Century Policing: Capacity Building Technique and Brand Management for Security Makers which is still being held in Abuja.

Dr Aliyu through the secretary of the commission, Mr. Clifford Okwudiri Okparaodu emphasizes the need for this collaboration with other sister agencies including capacity building through Anti- corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN).

“Undoubtedly, the war against corruption cannot be won in a swoop, neither can it be won by ICPC or any anti-corruption agency alone, but by a series of efforts involving stakeholders like you. This is where your role as the image makers of your agencies comes to the fore”.
