JUST IN: NACA Urges Nigerians to Prioritise Safety on Valentine’s Day

In anticipation of Valentine’s Day tomorrow, the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) has issued a plea to Nigerians to prioritize their safety and well-being while celebrating the day of love.

Dr Aliyu Gambo, the director-general of NACA, emphasised the importance of regular HIV testing and conversations around sexual health between partners.

Gambo highlighted that these measures not only benefit individuals’ health but also contribute to the overall goal of fostering safer and healthier communities.

“Love is a powerful force, and by practising responsible behaviours, we can ensure that it enhances our lives without compromising our health,” stated Gambo.

He urged individuals to adopt a comprehensive approach to love, which includes open communication, mutual respect, and making responsible choices.
